About Us

The Old Colorado City Community Garden began in 2009 with the help of Pikes Peak Urban Gardens (http://www.ppugardens.org/).

Nestled in our lot in Old Colorado City, we are a group of fun folks who love to garden with all its ups and downs, and are striving to grow community along with our vegetables.

Each member is in charge of their own plot and has complete control over what is planted and how, though we do encourage all organic garden practices for the good of the planet.

Plot fees are affordable and cover an entire year of space rental and water needs, as well as use of tools and other shared resources, such as organic fertilizers and seeds,  as funds allow.

Members are required to actively care for their plots and and share garden duties such as compost management, weeding shared areas, watering shared plots and shared beds and general maintenance.
